CDFI Fund Awards $123,000 to Drive Small Business Growth in Opa-locka

The OLCDC Business Fund has been awarded a $123,000 grant from the US Department of the Treasury’s Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI) Fund. The award will allow the OLCDC Business Fund to continue providing technical assistance to entrepreneurs and small businesses in Opa-locka, Miami Gardens, North Miami and Liberty City.The OLCDC Business Fund seeks to provide businesses in under resourced neighborhoods with access to capital, technical assistance and business support through economic, housing, financial, cultural and family services. Borrowers interested in start-up, micro-business and small business loans in targeted areas like Opa-locka, Miami Gardens and Liberty City are invited to apply by visiting www.opalockabusinessfund.com. The FY2018 CDFI Program Awards designated $165 million to more than 260 CDFIs to increase their lending and investment activity in low-income and economically distressed communities across the country.
